Two programs. One pipeline. From first year of high school to launching a real business — Phuka walks with students every step of the way.
Phuka Academy is an after-school program that runs alongside all four years of a student's secondary school education. While their classmates go home, Phuka students are learning how businesses work by actually working in them — inside real Malawian businesses, guided by experienced coaches.
Phuka Ventures is where Academy graduates take everything they've learned and build something of their own. We provide seed capital and ongoing mentorship for ventures that are difficult — or impossible — for most young Malawians to pursue alone. Real estate. Capital-intensive agriculture. Businesses that create jobs for others.
Academy builds the entrepreneur. Ventures backs the business. Together, they create a pipeline this generation of Malawians has never had access to.
